VINTAGE BUS BOOK 016.jpg
NO FEE. 20/10/2010. Vintage CIE Double Decker Bus Makes One Last Stop . Beautiful 'conductor' Jane Kendlin, The Lord Mayor, Cllr Gerry Breen and Dublin based bus enthusiast Ed O'Neil are pictured in full conductor's uniform to mark the launch of two new books on CIE Buses in the 1970's and 1980's, a vintage CIE double decker bus, outside the Mansion House on Dawson Street, Dublin.he coffee table books have been published by PRC Publications, a new transport publications company based in Dublin, and feature a miscellany of photographs of Irish buses and street scenes in both rural and urban locations, taken by Ed O'Neill from mid 1970 to mid 1980. A self-confessed "bus nut", O'Neill has compiled the two books which will appeal to both enthusiasts and the general public alike. Urban street scenes, including traffic on Dublin's Grafton Street, will remind readers of a time long gone when traffic regulations were far more relaxed and beautiful buildings stood tall, many of which are sadly no longer in existence. The books, 'CIE Buses in the 1970s and 80s - Double Deckers' and 'CIE Buses in the 1970s and 80s - Single Deckers' are priced at EUR25.00 per book (or both books for EUR45.00) and are available from Mark's Models branches or online at www.prcpublications.com.
